A Rwandan native, Emmanuel Sitaki, who narrowly escaped the 1994 Rwandan genocide while 35 of his family members were murdered. More than 1,000,000 people (mostly Tutsis) died in just 100 days in the worst mass extermination in human history. Emmanuel courageously chose to forgive those who murdered his family, and he has followed God’s call on his life for justice and reconciliation by caring for the widows and orphans of the genocide. Emmanuel is married, the father of three, and now lives in Edmonds, Washington. He speaks often of his experiences, especially about the power of forgiveness.

Cindy joined Medical Teams International in 2015 after seven years with World Vision U.S. A nurse educator and entrepreneur, she has worked in both for-profit and non-profit organizations, including Confirma, supporting a medical device clinical trial, and her own company, Video Education Associates, which produced the first training video in the U.S. for care of patients with AIDS and HIV.
Cindy’s passion for global health started while living in Ethiopia and continued at the University of Washington, where she received a bachelor of science in nursing, and Seattle University, where she studied business. She has served on a number of boards including the Institute for Business Technology and Ethics, Strategic Solutions Inc., Washington Engage and Healing Hands of Joy. A fourth generation Washingtonian, Cindy enjoys hiking, biking, skiing, travel, WA wines and this amazing state.

While attending Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, she discovered God's heart for the marketplace. In 2014, Barbara moved to Seattle and began working at Microsoft in various strategy and marketing roles, and while doing so her personal relationship with God deepened. Barbara is a newlywed and she and her husband, Troy, have a shared vision to change and impact culture.
Edie Phillips, MD
Psychiatrist (recently retired)
After graduating from Loma Linda University Medical School in California (as one of three women in a class of 120!), Edie Phillips headed north to complete her residency at the University of Washington. Studying both adult and child psychiatry, she found a passion for mental health at all life stages so she began her practice at Seattle Children's Hospital. After marrying and having three children, she then moved into adult private practice on Mercer Island. With Jesus as her lifeline and with a clear understanding of her God-given calling, Dr. Edie served the community as a psychiatrist for over 50 years, retiring in late 2019.

Ryan Anderson was on the fast track to success after graduating from Seattle Pacific University and shortly after starting RW Anderson Homes, which he still owns and operates today. He married his beautiful wife, Brooke, had four children, and felt like he was on top of the world. Until he didn't anymore. He wrestled with God over the ideas of success and worth, and during this year's Gathering, he will share about becoming who God made you to be and what he’s learned he's learned about having it all. Ryan's hobbies include music, creating anything, and reading novels.

Tyler helped start A Seattle Church in 2015, as the co-founding pastor. Since then he has served through leading ASC's focus on leadership development within the context of community. He lives in Seattle with his wife, Kim, and his 3 daughters Miri, Evie, and Ari. When he has free time he loves to read, drink amazing coffee, travel to new places, and root for the Portland Trail Blazers... #BringBackOurSonics. He loves Seattle and believes the best days are ahead of us.
Chief Justice Debra Stephens
Washington Supreme Court
In 2019, the Honorable Debra L. Stephens was unanimously elected by her colleagues as the 57th Chief Justice of the Washington State Supreme Court. She is the first woman from Eastern Washington to serve on the Court. A native of Spokane, she attended Gonzaga University School of Law, entering law school when her daughter was just five weeks old. After law school she worked as a staff attorney for the Honorable Fred L. Van Sickle before entering private practice and teaching as an adjunct professor at Gonzaga. Chief Justice Stephens and her husband have been married for over 30 years and have two grown children. She enjoys skiing, golf, tennis, and spending time with her extended family at the Snake River.
YWAM in Tijuana, Mexico
Jamie Durham is a wife, mother, and resident of Tijuana. She currently co-leads Staff Development at the Youth With A Mission’s Tijuana campus and also serves on various leadership councils. Living in one of the largest border regions in the world presents unique opportunities for Jamie, her family, and the team of people she leads as together they care for people suffering from injustice. Jamie and her husband have led over 400 teams to build homes for families in need in the Northern Baja region of Mexico. Jamie’s vision is to develop leaders who serve like Jesus and to see societies transformed.

Russ Johnson is the Founder & Chief Strategy Officer of NavigatorSRVS. Russ studied Economics at Whitman College and went on to work in real estate and technology before starting Navigator SRVS in 2015. Russ lives in Seattle with his wife (Melissa) and has three children. He and his family love music, and Russ has been known to break out his harmonica from time to time.

Toms was born in South Korea and moved to the United States when we was in the fourth grade. He attended Seattle Pacific University with a degree in International Business and Finance and was the first person in his family to graduate from an American university. Toms’ life was greatly impacted at his first WSL forum, and the friendships he formed there changed the trajectory of his life. He currently serves as a Sales Manager at Porch as a marketplace minister. He readily shares, "Jesus is the greatest gift I have ever received."
